How to use these WhatsApp templates

Fill the bar above with your brand, a customer name, a product, and a link — every template updates live. Copy the one you need into the free WhatsApp Business App, or submit it for approval on the WhatsApp Business API. Anything in {{double braces}} is a merge field that gets replaced with each customer’s real data when you send at scale.

Each template is tagged with its Meta message category, because category sets the price. Want to see what a month of these costs at Meta’s rates? Run the numbers in the WhatsApp cost calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Are these WhatsApp templates free to use?

Yes. Every template on this page is free to copy and adapt — no account, no sign-up. Fill in your brand, customer name, product, and link at the top, then copy any message. Use them in the free WhatsApp Business App, or submit them for approval on the WhatsApp Business API.

What are the WhatsApp message categories — marketing, utility, authentication?

Since July 2025, Meta prices WhatsApp template messages per message by category. Marketing messages (promotions, new drops, win-backs) cost the most. Utility messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, payment reminders) are cheaper and can be free inside a 24-hour service window. Authentication messages (one-time passcodes) are priced separately. Each template here is tagged with its category so you can see the cost trade-off — estimate it with the WhatsApp cost calculator.

How do the {{variables}} work?

Anything in double braces — {{name}}, {{product}}, {{link}} — is a merge field that gets replaced with real customer data when the message sends. On this page, the fill bar at the top substitutes them live so you can preview the finished message. On the WhatsApp Business API, the same placeholders map to template parameters your system fills per customer.

Will these templates get approved by WhatsApp?

Templates are written to follow WhatsApp’s rules — clear value, no prohibited content, a working opt-out for marketing — but Meta reviews and approves every template on your own account, and approval is theirs to grant. Keep the message specific and useful, avoid all-caps and excessive emoji, and give marketing recipients a way to opt out. Utility and authentication templates are approved more readily than marketing ones.
